the greatest gift.

So, I'm doing this daily "letters" thing on my tumblr (here) and it's set to different kinds of people in your life. Then, I'm about to hit 1000 tweets on Twitter (yes I'm a social media whore, shut up) soo, I figured I should do something a little special so to speak. So, prepare for some sappiness.

I'm finishing up my fourth year at SFU in the SIAT program, and about to start my fifth & final year (damn thats scary), and as much as I've had issues with the program and what I want to do after and if this degree will do me any good, I have to say I have met some of the greatest friends I have ever had in my life, and I really hope I can keep in contact with them. Now to switch POV just to be confusing. I'm talking to all of you close SIAT folks of mine, y'all know who are. =)

I've met you all over the past 4 years, and as cheesy and sappy and ridiculous it may sound, I really, TRULY mean it when I say that you guys are the greatest friends and gifts to me I've had. You are the only set of friends that I feel truly myself around. I don't have to hide anything. I can act like a retard, show what I'm truly interested in, and just be myself without feeling judged or scrutinized. You guys know how to have fun, but be serious at the right times. You guys are there for me, and definitely the most loyal friends I've had (considering I've definitely had my issues with other friends in the past with that) and there's a select few that I can talk to about pretty much ANYTHING, but even most of you...I feel totally comfortable with you guys and that makes me so happy to know that I know such great people. We've had so many amazing memories these past years...really. So as I approach my last year, I'm so scared I'll lose touch with people...please don't, it'd break my heart. We must keep in touch, because like I said, you guys are more trustworthy, faithful, and loyal, and just damn well fun friends than any I've had before. We are also such a diverse group of people, yet so similar and it works out beautifully. I'm so thankful to have met each of you and let's keep the good times rolling and get through the next year or so with just as many great memories.

I love you guys. Really.

and no, the people I'm talking to aren't defined by these pictures...there's definitely more of you, but these are the best group pics I could find quickly.
